A very beautiful antique French brass chandelier, probably dating from the 1900s and in what could be described as an Art Nouveau meets English Regency style. The elegant brass form is decorated with hand-made ceramic flowers including pink roses, buds and blue dianthus, and the arms have delicate gilded brass leaves and twining stems. Each arm finishes with a brass gallery and frosted tulip shade, and the frame hangs on a chain ending in a further brass ceiling rose. The fixture can either be attached directly to the ceiling, without the chain, or hung from the longer chain supplied. The chandelier has been cleaned (lightly) and restored, and the wiring has been fully checked and updated. Bulbs are not included. The whole length of the chandelier, including the chain, is approx 105cm. The height of the chandelier frame itself is approx 52cm. The chain is approx 40cm. The maximum width, including the shades, is approx 68cm. The bulb holders are bayonet fitting. For customers in the US, European bayonet bulbs are now available online there, but please don't hesitate to ask any questions about suitability.
