A gorgeous Art Deco sculpture of a reclining woman with a large stylised bird. Made of bronze-painted plaster, the piece is signed M A F, which is either the artist or the manufacturer. Condition is good with no cracks and no major chips. There are some areas where the paint has chipped, especially on the base. These could easily be touched up, but we have left them for a new owner to decide what they prefer. Measurements are approximately 53cm long, 25cm high and 15cm wide. It weighs 4.22kg (9lb 5oz). Sourced in France, it is a piece very typical of the 1920s or 1930s, and would have taken pride of place as an ornament on a mantelpiece or sideboard.
